Who is Judy?
Born in London, ON Canada to two people who should have never been together, I grew up as an (almost) only child and a Pisces (not that either of those things really mean anything).
Despite being Canadian I barely speak French though I do know how to swear In Polish.
I moved around a lot and attended six elementary schools and three high schools. This lead to my ability to really “read the room” and pick up on the emotions and intentions of others.
I often use humour to lighten situations and moods - and it’s almost always completely inappropriate.
I am NOT shy when it comes to talking about the shit that makes me so loveable. I have depression, anxiety, ADHD, PCOS, carpal tunnel syndrome, arthritis, and while being assessed for autism, it was discovered I actually have complex post traumatic stress disorder. So…that’s a fun new thing!
My whole mental health wellness journey started when I was diagnosed with post-partum depression which was THE worst period of my whole life. Got questions? Ask me anything because I believe talking about mental health and neurodivergent stuff helps destroy the stigmas surrounding them.
I act (semi-professionally), write, make art, refinish furniture, and foster animals for the Humane Society.
When I was younger, I believed I would be happy in a job that earned a certain amount of money. After years working various jobs including as an entertainment executive assistant, employment counsellor, youth worker, resource counsellor, federal government employee, entrepreneur, customer service rep, and a bunch of other stuff I can’t remember at the moment, I am now extremely happy as a warehouse worker.
Currently, I’m refinishing three dressers, overhauling my garden, adapting a movie script, writing a TV pilot, renovating my very old house, converting my shed into a chicken coop, and raising two emotionally healthy young men who will go out into the world and dismantle the patriarchy.
